Open House 2012

The University of Winnipeg welcomes high school students, parents, adult/mature students, and the community to attend    Open House 2012. Meet us in the Duckworth Centre (400 Spence Street) when you arrive to pick-up an information package, then plan your visit around the various activities scheduled throughout the day and evening.

Information Fair

Visit the booths in the Duckworth Centre gymnasium for information on departments and programs. Professors, students, and staff will be on hand to talk about degree programs and course selections.

Apply In person at the Application Centre 2D16

Drop in to the Application Centre in the Duckworth Centre (2D16) where our Admissions team will assist you in completing your online application.

Already Applied? Do you have a question? Not sure what happens next?  Stop by the Application Centre and talk to a member of the Admissions team.

Application fees are $80.00 for Canadians - Permanent Residents and $100.00 for International Students. Cheque and credit cards are accepted.    

If you are a current high school student, locate your Manitoba Education and Training Number (MET #) prior to coming to the Application Centre. This number is required to complete your application.  If you do not know your MET#, please ask your school and/or check your latest report card

Drop by the Library on the 4^th floor of Centennial Hall to take a look at our wealth of resources, extensive online databases, and great study space. Library staff will be happy to answer any of your questions.

Free snacks will be available in Duckworth Centre. You can also buy lunch at the Pangea's Kitchen or the Duckworth Cafe and Eatery.

Pick Presentations on topics that are of special interest to you.

Attend a Mini Lecture held by one of our outstanding professors.

There are many Presentations and Mini Lectures to choose from so be sure to schedule your time so you can attend more than one!

Tours

Take a tour of the growing UWinnipeg campus. Throughout the day we will have guided tours available for the new Richardson College for the Environment and Science Complex, the Buhler Centre, the new AnX and more.

Prizes!

Stop by the Student Carnival on the second floor of Duckworth Centre to fill out a VIP CARD for your chance to win a $5,000 FIRST YEAR TUITION CREDIT at UWinnipeg! (Note: if you have already filled out a VIP CARD, your name has already been entered for this contest and you do not need to submit another card). You can also enter to win two tickets to the Hockey game on February 27th!

Win with the Wesmen

You are invited to challenge our Wesmen athletes in sports clinics for basketball, volleyball, soccer and wrestling. Test your skills, win potential bragging rights and great prizes for going head-to-head with a Wesmen.

Lounge for High School Counsellors - Pizza at lunch sponsored by Garbonzo's Pizza Pub at UWinnipeg

During the day, Counsellors can relax, visit with their colleagues and have some refreshments in the Counsellors Lounge. This year the lounge is located in the Corporate Suite overlooking the Duckworth Centre Information Fair.  Entrance is from the second floor, beneath the track entrance.
