Dulce Gonzales-Ramirez
Dulce Maria Gonzalez
is from Mexico. She was raised in three different states where she encountered
different Mexican cultures - Huichol and Mixteca -, and in the process she
developed a special interest about indigenous issues. Dulce has a passion for
the preservation and promotion of the environment, traditions, and culture
through sustainable initiatives that allow the empowerment and conservation of
livelihoods and well-being of indigenous peoples around the world, mainly with
a focus in Mexico.
Academically, Dulce has a BA in International Business and a Certificate on Indigenous Cultures of Mexico. Her past work in cultural institutions in Mexico has been the planning and management of programs related to folk art and cultural promotion of indigenous groups. More recently, she has been volunteering and supporting projects at the Santa Fe International Folk Art Market. Dulce trusts that the MDP will give her the tools, skills and knowledge to enable the sustainable development and holistic well-being of indigenous peoples.
