Program

The intense MDP curriculum includes:

• A one week program orientation in an Indigenous community;

• 54 credit hours of interdisciplinary courses that focus on indigenous development within the health, management, natural and social science framework;

• Two 10 to 12 week field placements –one Canadian and one international-- in Indigenous communities or with organizations (NGOs, government organizations, for-profit organizations, etc.) working with Indigenous communities.

This professional degree uses individual and group learning including problem-solving, case studies, group projects, and critical self-reflection to foster integrated knowledge, skills and approaches needed to successfully to contribute to and effect sustainable Indigenous development in Canada and abroad.
