(International students interested in pursuing a degree from The University of Winnipeg should go to International Application for Undergraduate and Transfer Students.)
Academic Options
A list of our departments and subject areas can be found under Areas of Study in the Course Calendar. Pre-requisites are listed for each course.
Required Documents for Submission of Application
Before an application can be processed, the following four documents must be received:
1. A completed Visiting Student Application
2. Application Fee of $100 Canadian
3. Official copy of your university transcript(s) sent directly from your home institution
Required Documents for Registration
4. Course Selection [PDF] or Letter of Permission [PDF]
Please note: Depending on what was indicated on your application, a Course Selection form should be completed by all accepted visiting students who are not required by their home university to have University of Winnipeg courses pre-approved.
The Letter of Permission should be completed by all visiting students who are required to have their home universities approve courses.
This document must be submitted by the following deadlines:
Fall and Winter Terms - May 31
Spring Term - TBA
As a Visiting Student, you will not need to register for courses - International Admissions will take care of that for you, once we receive the Official Letter of Permission/Course Selection from your home university. A copy of the University of Winnipeg's Letter of Permission/Course Selection is included in your Acceptance Package.
To see what courses are being offered in an upcoming Term, go to WebAdvisor, choose "guest" and search for course sections; then check for pre-requisites in the "Areas of Study" section of the Course Calendar. When filling out the Letter of Permission/Course Selection, please choose courses without pre-requisites or courses with pre-requisites that you have already taken at your home university. Make sure your course choices are approved by your home university - if this is required by your institute.
