Proceeds Benefit Opportunity Fund

The Opportunity Fund is unique among Canadian universities and the goal is to ensure that everyone, regardless of economic circumstances, has access to higher education and opportunities. The Opportunity Fund has awarded 850 bursaries and approximately 100 Opportunity Fund students have already graduated from our University!

Through the Opportunity Fund Tuition Credit Program, students as early as Grade 4 can ‘earn as they learn’ by staying in school, improving their marks, and participating in school and community activities.

By the time they graduate, a student can earn up to $4,000 in tuition credits to attend The University of Winnipeg.

Currently 180 inner-city and north end students are registered in the program with more registered every year.
