Ms. Céleste McKay

Consultant, Native Women's Association of Canada

Céleste McKay is a Métis woman from Manitoba. She has a Bachelor of Social Work degree from the University of Manitoba and a LL.B. degree from the University of Victoria.

Currently working on her Masters in Law on a part-time basis, she is focusing on Canadian Indigenous women’s international human rights. McKay has worked extensively in human rights, policy, research and advocacy work, primarily on behalf of Indigenous women’s organizations.

Currently, she works as a consultant in the international fora related to Indigenous Peoples, particularly Indigenous women, often representing the Native Women’s Association of Canada.
