    What do I need a student Computer Account for? How do I get one?
    Information on student computer accounts is available here.

    I am a returning student and I don't remember my password from last year.
    Please contact the Technology Help Desk about having your password reset to your original PIN from your registration letter.  If you do not have your original PIN, you will need to visit Student Central in Centennial hall to have your letter reissued.

    My Username and Password don't work, what do I do?

    How do I login to WebCT or Learn?

    Use the username you were originally given, and the password you chose in WebAdvisor are your logins for almost all campus computers and systems, including MyUWinnipeg, webmail.uwinnipeg.ca (email), WebCT, and Learn.

    FAQ's about Computing Off Campus

    Do students, faculty and staff have free Internet access from home?
    No. The dial up service has been discontinued due to the very low utilization of the service and to allow resources to be focused on other campus wide technologies.  

    I have a Microsoft Document I need to read at home, but I don't have the program to read it
    what can I do?
    You can install a Microsoft Viewer at home, information is available here.

    What computer labs are available on Campus?
    Uplink (room 4C32B) is the lab on campus provided by the Technology Solutions Centre. There are other campus computer labs affiliated with other departments. Information on Uplink is available here.
