Recreating Your Sent-Items Folder

If your Sent Items folder has disappeared it is easy to recreate, and all of your sent items will reappear. That's because your Sent Items folder is not actually a folder, it's a filter.

To recreate your Sent Items folder just follow these steps.

In GroupWise go to "File", "New","Folder" select "Find Results Folder", then select "Predefined Find Results Folder" and then "Sent Items". Now, put the folder where you want it, select "finish", the Sent Items folder should be there, and your sent items should be in it!

Wondering why your Sent Items folder could disappear, and then when you recreate it your sent items instantly reappear? That's because the Sent Items folder is not actually a folder - it's a filter, your sent-mail is actually in your mailbox (or any other folder you might choose). If you go to your mailbox and go to "View" and then "Display Setting" you will see that sent items by default are not checked off - if you check it off you see the items are actually there - just usually hidden. Also if you go to your Sent Items folder and look along the top where it says "to" "subject" "Recipient #'s" etc., there is also a heading called "folder" and that will tell you which folder your sent mail is actually located in.
