The University of Winnipeg Manitoba Graduate Scholarships (MGS)
General Information
The University of Winnipeg has established a Manitoba Graduate Scholarship (MGS) valued at $15,000 through an agreement between The University of Winnipeg and the Province of Manitoba to support research-based graduate studies and assist in attracting and sustaining excellent students from within and outside of the Province.
Awards are made mainly on the basis of academic excellence, and are open to students who will be registered as full-time graduate students in a Master's program at The University of Winnipeg regardless of discipline during tenure of the award.

OTHER INTERNAL AWARDS
- The University of Winnipeg Graduate Studies Scholarship
Value: $15,000 for a period of 12 months. There are no automatic renewals for a second year.
General Terms: For full-time graduate students, in recognition of academic excellence and of contributions to community service. Students must demonstrate superior intellectual ability and academic accomplishment, holding a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.75 or greater for the last two completed years of study.

New! International Student Scholarship Opportunities for 2013
The University of Winnipeg is pleased to announce the creation of 53 new entrance scholarships for international students who will be attending The University of Winnipeg for the first time in Spring 2013, Fall 2013 or Winter 2014.
The University of Winnipeg Presidents Scholarship for World Leaders, will be given to international students entering any of the Universitys divisions for the first time Undergraduate, Graduate, Collegiate, PACE or ELP. Applicants must have a minimum 80% admission average or equivalent, and must be involved in activities that demonstrate leadership.

Applications will be received from any graduate of a Manitoba university who is enrolled or enrolling in one of The University of Winnipeg - University of Manitoba Joint Master's Programs.

- The Graduate & Professional Studies application Expenses Bursary - The purpose of this bursary fund is to provide some assistance to current UW students with respect to the high costs associated with applying to Graduate and Professional schools. - The University of Winnipeg Graduate Assistantship (UWGA): These awards are available to students in the MA in Indigenous Governance and Cultural Studies programs as well as the MSc in BioScience, Technology & Public Policy and Applied Computer Science programs.
