DIRECTORS
The Global College includes seven active Institutes which are the foundation of academic learning through the College. Each Institute helps to fulfill the mandate of the Global College by offering summer institutes, teach-ins, symposia, conferences, and lecture series, as well as by encouraging trans-disciplinary education. The Institutes offer a forum for dialogue on international issues that may include local implications.
The Global College is currently preparing a Call for Proposals for new Directors of Institutes and/or new Institutes. Please stay tuned.

The Global College works in cooperation with many organizations to support the human rights community. Some of these organizations include:
Canadian Museum for Human Rights
Established by Parliament through amendments to the Museums Act on March 13, 2008, the Canadian Museum for Human Rights (CMHR) is envisioned as a national and international destination-a centre of learning where Canadians and people from around the world can engage in discussion and commit to taking action against hate and oppression. The purpose of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights is to explore the subject of human rights, with special but not exclusive reference to Canada, in order to enhance the public's understanding of human rights, to promote respect for others and to encourage reflection and dialogue.
Canadian Race Relations Foundation
The Canadian Race Relations Foundation is Canada's leading agency dedicated to the elimination of racism in the country. The work of the Foundation is premised on its desire to create and nurture an accepting society based on mutual respect and human dignity. Its underlying principle in addressing racism and racial discrimination emphasizes human rights, harmony, equality, social justice and Canadian identity. On the International Day Against Racial Discrimination in 2011, in cooperation with the CRRF, the Global College hosted guest lecturer Art Miki for the presentation: "Recalling the Racist Past; Naming the Racist Present".
Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan (MB Chapter)
The Manitoba Chapter of Canadian Women for Women is a growing group of women in Winnipeg and the surrounding area, composed from all walks of life who share a common passion: improving the conditions for women and children in Afghanistan. By providing humanitarian and education solutions for women and children, CW4WAfghan empowers their sisters, mothers and daughters, providing hope for the future of Afghanistan. The Global College has works in partnership with the CW4WAfghan Manitoba Chapter, co-sponsoring events such as An Evening with Fawzia Koofi and the Afghan Film Festival at the University of Winnipeg.
The Kaicombey Foundation For Sustainable Development is a not-for-profit, non-political, and nongovernmental organization, established to fight and reduce child and maternal mortality by providing free and affordable medical facilities, and also public health education and training, in post war Sierra Leone and its African sub regions.
The Lost Boys and Girls of Sudan have been working with The University of Winnipeg Global College to develop capacity building mechanisms, and promote awareness about their cause.
National Committee for UN Women - Canada (Winnipeg Chapter)
The Winnipeg Chapter is a group of volunteers who work to raise the awareness and to educate ourselves and others about the many challenges and achievements of women today. UN Women is the UN organization dedicated to gender equality and the empowerment of women. A global champion for women and girls, UN Women was established to accelerate progress on meeting their needs worldwide.
