Alex Gachanja is the Office Manager at the University of Winnipeg Global College. Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya Alex came to Canada in 2002 to pursue his university education where he began his studies at Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario before completing his Bachelor of Business Administration at the University of Winnipeg (BBA ’08). He is currently pursuing a BA in Conflict Resolution at Menno Simmons College and volunteers with the Youth Peacebuilding Project under the auspices of the Institute for Community Peacebuilding – CMU. His interests and research include non-violent social change, conflict resolution and human rights, post-colonial discourses on conflict resolution, truth commissions and restorative justice. Alex enjoys travelling, is an avid soccer fan and loves to cook.
