Your Place to Call Home - Student Housing
Living in residence at The University of Winnipeg
gives you the unique opportunity to live on your
own, without being alone. In residence, you'll meet
other students from across Canada and around
the world, establish life-long friendships and get
involved in a variety of activities around campus and
in the downtown area.
UWinnipeg houses students in several residence styles located in the Spence Neighbourhood and West Broadway area - one of the
oldest, most vibrant, and ethnically diverse neighborhoods in Winnipeg. No more than a five-minute walk away from
campus, each housing option is geared for student living.
McFeetors Hall: Great-West Life Student Residence
McFeetors Hall offers new, modern dorm-style furnished units for individual students, as well as one, two and three bedroom apartments for mature students and their families. McFeetors Hall is located on the new Furby/Langside Campus, next to The UWSA daycare and The Richardson College for the Environment (opening 2011).
Lions Manor
With several student floors, "the Manor" is bustling with activity and a great opportunity if you thrive on community, action, and amazing volunteer opportunities. Each dorm floor comes equipped with a common lounge/dining area, common kitchen, and big-screen TV with several RAs positioned throughout the building.
Options include furnished dorms, superdorms, and premium dorms with two or three piece bathrooms, as well as bachelor and one bedroom apartments with the option of furnished or unfurnished rooms.
Houses
Each house is located within minutes of the campus and has approximately eight single furnished rooms with tasteful,
state-of-the-art amenities. All houses come equipped with common kitchens, lounges, security alarms, and a Resident
Assistant. Coin-operated laundry, storage lockers, free cable in the lounge, and backyard decks for barbeques are just
some of the features that make this housing option unique.
Space in UWinnipeg residence is limited and students from outside of Winnipeg are given the highest priority. In order to secure
your spot, apply online for residence immediately after you apply to the University.
