Faculty of Kinesiology

The Faculty of Kinesiology is the newest Faculty on The University of Winnipeg campus. The Faculty of Kinesiology combines and integrates the academic, teaching, and research capacity of the Department of Kinesiology and Applied Health, and the administrative and programming strengths of the Department of Athletics.

Athletic Therapy

This program leads to a four-year degree in science with a major in Kinesiology and Applied Health (athletic therapy). You’ll learn about prevention and care of injuries, human anatomy and sport medicine. The curriculum is accredited by the Canadian Athletic Therapists’ Association (CATA). Students can obtain clinical hours at The University of Winnipeg Athletic Therapy Centre and other accredited clinics in Winnipeg.

Kinesiology and Applied Health

Explore the study of human movement, and develop research and practice in physical activity, fitness, exercise and sport. A major in Kinesiology and Applied Health can lead to an exciting career in education, athletic therapy, coaching and sport psychology, among other options.
