Faculty and Staff Giving

To date, our generous internal community has contributed over $5 million to student awards, capital initiatives and academic enhancements. Our Faculty and Staff are not only among the most talented and well respected anywhere, they have played an inspirational role in fundraising, contributing more than 1,700 individual gifts and pledges since the launch of the 2005 Campus Campaign.

We are extremely thankful for the generosity of our internal family and campus community whose contributions of both volunteer time and money have built a legacy that will serve our University community and its students for years to come. 

In December 2012, the University quietly launched it's 2013 Campus Campaign with a goal of attracting 100% participation from its campus community.  Our Campus Campaign Co-Chairs, Orval Voakes, Grace O'Farrell and Neil Besner, are busy signing letters to canvass all UWinnipeg Staff, Faculty, Board of Regents and Retirees.

Key priorities for the 2013 Campus Campaign include the Future Fund and University & Collegiate Student Awards.  Giving is a very personal decision and for that reason donations to any fund will counted towards the Campaign.

If you are a member of our campus community and have yet to make your gift or pledge, there are two main reasons why your gift to UWinnipeg is significant.

1. While very large donations are important to a university, it is the multitude of small and medium-sized gifts that provide additional funds to our departments, programs and other projects. Your gift, combined with hundreds of others, makes it possible for UWinnipeg to achieve its mission.

2. Alumni, friends, corporations, foundations, even your neighbors take note when our faculty and staff – those who know the institution best – endorse and support its operations with their own hard-earned money.
