Payment Information

Where and How Payable

  • Through your Financial Institution (through on-line banking, telephone banking or in person at any branch)

  • Drop-Box located on the East wall across from the Security Office in Centennial Hall or, during regular office hours, the drop-box at Student Central. Cheque, money order or certified cheque only. Please include your student number and phone number on your cheque or money order.

  • By mail to The University of Winnipeg, Student Financial Services, 515 Portage Ave, Winnipeg MB, R3B 2E9  (Must be received by due date) 

  • In person at Student Central (located in Centennial Hall at Lockhart Hall entrance on the Main Floor). Interac, cheque or cash only. Students are cautioned against carrying large amounts of cash. Credit card payments are NOT accepted at Student Central.

  • Credit card payment can be made using your University of Winnipeg Web Account. (A WebAdvisor Convenience Fee of $75.00 will be applied on each Web Payment).

  • Wire transfer is often used by international students.  See Wire Transfer Instructions [PDF]

You will need your 7 digit student number and balance owing in order to make payment using any of the above methods. You can gain access to most major bank on-line banking systems through your WebAdvisor account.

Payment Deadlines

FINAL dates to pay all tuition and fees (without a late payment fee being charged):

  • September 4, 2013 - for all courses which begin in the 2013 Fall Term and 2013-14 Fall/Winter Term

  • January 6, 2014 - for all courses which begin in the 2014 Winter Term

  • May 5, 2014 - for all courses which begin in the 2014 Spring Term
     

Payment includes tuition, incidental fees, University of Winnipeg Students' Association fees, UWSA Health Plan fees and UWSA Building Fund fees.

If you are having difficulties paying your fees, please contact Student Central to discuss payment options.

NOTE:   Address Changes – Ensure address changes are made at Student Central as they occur.   Fees are due on time.

Students sponsored by an agency – Ensure an authorization has been submitted Student Financial Services prior to fees being due.

PAYMENTS WITH AWARDS and/or STUDENT AID 

  • Students in receipt of Manitoba Student Loan and Canada Student Loan Certificates of Eligibility will have these forms endorsed by the University of Winnipeg Director of Awards and Financial Aid in the Awards and Financial Aid Office.

  • Students in receipt of scholarships or bursaries from other than the University of Winnipeg should provide documentation to the University Awards and Financial Aid Office prior to registration or the applicable due date.

  • Students who are paying fees by a Canada Student Loan which is not yet approved must make special arrangements with the University Awards and Financial Aid Office prior to the due date.
