How can I apply for the Faculty of Business and Economics?

  • The Faculty of Business and Economics is a direct entry faculty. Once you have applied to The University of Winnipeg and have been accepting, you can start taking Business or Economics courses in your first year.

When does the term start?

  • UWinnipeg has 3 different terms, Fall (September), Winter (January) and Spring (May).

How much does it cost to study at UWinnipeg?

  • The total cost of your degree depends on which courses you will be taking, Science courses (Biology, Chemistry, Anthropology, etc) cost more than other courses.
  • An estimated cost for a 4 year program is between $14,000-$17,000

What scholarships can I apply for?

Do you accept transfer students?

  • Yes. Applicants must be in good academic standing at their former institution. You can apply as a Transfer Student. Please click here for information on the application process.

What is the difference between a BBA and a B.Comm?

  • A BBA at The University of Winnipeg is a multi-displinary Degree in which you will learn from Departments outside of Business and Economics, such as Politics, Geography, History and Communications, to name a few. The University of Winnipeg and the Faculty of Business and Economics aims to educate well rounded individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit, a desire to face challenges and a flexible skill set so that students can continually grow. Whereas, a B.Comm is more focused on Business learning and does not have a mutli-displinary approach.

  • As of April 2012, there are 833 declared majors of Business or Economics within the Faculty of Business and Economics
