On campus, the CTLT provides expertise in academic technologies to the main UW campus programs, Division of Continuing Education, Global College, The Collegiate, Menno Simons College, and other affiliated institutions.
UW courses are offered to students in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and around the world. While the bulk of our students are located in Manitoba, we also have had students from most provinces in Canada, the US, Spain, Ireland, the UK, and other countries.
The UW is a member of the Campus Manitoba provincial consortium - along with University of Manitoba, Brandon University, College universitaire de Saint-Boniface, the University College of the North, Assiniboine Community College, and Red River College.
We also participate in the University College of the North Inter-University Services (UCN-IUS) along with the University of Manitoba and Brandon University. Both of these organizations have a mandate to offer degree programs to students primarily in the North.
The Centre believes in the intervention of technologies to provide an education that is Affordable, Accessible, Flexible, and Relevant. Thanks to the UW faculty and staff, we are able to provide access to education for students from different backgrounds and needs. Our students are varied (part-time, busy raising families, working in other parts of the world, disadvantaged or high-risk, mature students, or may be geographically isolated). Supporting the current Academic Plan, the Centre also assists in providing the community with open access to selected resources. As an innovative inner-city educational institution, the Centre actively engages using our resources to network with the communities around us.
These are only some highlights of the Centre. Please feel free to browse the website and contact me or any of our staff members for further information or assistance.
