Thank you for your interest in the English for Specific Purposes Program.


Summer Term :We are currently accepting applications for the following summer courses:

  • Foundations for English for Specific Purposes  (CLB 5 & 6)
  • Foundations for English for Specific Purposes -Part II  (CLB 6 & 7)
  • iEnglish (CLB 5-8)


Fall Term :Fall 2013 applications are accepted starting mid July 29, 2013.

Foundations for English for Specific Purposes

English for Internationally Educated Professionals ( CLB 7 or 8)

  • English for Internationally Educated Accountants
  • English for Business and  IT Professionals
  • English for Engineering Professionals
  • Technical Communication for Engineering Professionals
  • English for Internationally Educated Teachers
  • English for Internationally Educated Teachers Online

English for Academic Purposes ( CLB 7 or 8)

  • English for Academic Writing - (in class)
  • English for Academic Writing - Part I (Online)
  • English for Academic Learning and Speaking ( Fall term starts with Academic Speaking)

To register, you must have a Canadian Language Benchmark(CLB) between 5-8 in all skills (please refer to course information for required levels for each course) and a referral from WELARC.If you do not have a CLB with a referral , please phone WELARC at 943-5387 to book an appointment.
