| Please join University faculty, staff, students and guests at the annual Duff Roblin Award Dinner, honouring Mr. Edward Kennedy, President & CEO of The North West Company as this years' Duff Roblin Award Recipient. Proceeds from the Duff Roblin Dinner and gifts from individuals and organizations will go towards the Duff Roblin Scholars Fund. The fund provides Graduate Fellowships in Indigenous Governance and for students in the Master's in Development Practice Program at The University of Winnipeg and is set up to enhance educational opportunities for Manitoba's Indigenous population and encourage Indigenous students to obtain advanced degrees. The inaugural Duff Roblin Award was named in honour of and presented to The Honourable Duff Roblin in 2007. This prestigious award recognizes a recipient’s qualities as an outstanding Manitoban, a patron of education, and someone who demonstrates exemplary citizenship and life-long commitment to his or her community. Past recipients include Tom Jackson (2008) and Kerry Hawkins (2009).
