Janet Walker
Janet Walker has provided management support to Winnipeg's not-for-profit sector for over 25 years. Specializing in strategic planning, revenue development, group facilitation, capacity building and communications, Janet's work spans the education, urban development, tourism and health sectors.
Currently, her successful consulting practice lends fund development and executive management services to The University of Winnipeg Foundation, an organization she helped establish in 2001. She has assisted the young Foundation with the stewardship of a $30 million endowed fund and has played a key role in developing and delivering a capital campaign that today boasts well over $55 million raised toward a goal of $70 million - the largest campaign in the University's history.
A long-time resident of Winnipeg, Janet is a graduate of the University of Winnipeg. She began her career in student recruitment and awards where her efforts assisted the University to gain, in a single year, a 20% increase in first year enrollment.
