Elizabeth Dawes
Elizabeth Dawes, Associate Dean of Arts and Professor of French Studies, is a member of the Academic Renewal Policy Committee at the University of Winnipeg. While Chair of Modern Languages and Literatures, she focused on curricular development, designing the courses and degree requirements for a new Spanish Studies major and creating a new engaging German Studies curriculum. She holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics from the Université de Montréal and is the author of a number of comparative, diachronic studies of idioms and proverbs in the European languages.
