Drawing from a variety of disciplines and professions, this course examines the

challenges that people encounter in rebuilding their lives after forced displacement.

While considering experiences of forced migration around the world, the course focuses

primarily on the experiences of war-affected populations in Manitoba related to social

integration, employment, and public services. The course highlights examples of trauma

and resilience, successful community development, and strategies to improve services for

individuals affected by war.

The course offers resources for students and people who work in business, health,

education, housing, or social services, or community development.
