Course #1: Foundation
Certificate Overview
This 3-day Foundation Certificate delivers a complete overview of the PRINCE2
Project Methodology During the Foundations Certificate Program, you will master
a structured and controlled approach to successfully managing projects of any
size and complexity. You will complete the PRINCE2 Foundation Certification
Exam on Day 3, featuring 75 multiple-answer questions confirming your knowledge
of the PRINCE2 Methodology. A passing grade is required to receive Foundation
Certification and move to the Practitioners Certificate on Day 4 and 5.
Course #2:
Practitioner Certificate Overview
The Practitioner 2-day workshop follows immediately after successful completion
of your Foundations Exam. The Practitioners Certificate Program is specifically
designed to put the techniques and theory mastered in the first 3 days into a
real-life project case environment. This teaching approach fully prepares you
to write the final Practitioner Exam, PLUS you can immediately apply the
methodology on a current business project.

FOUNDATIONS EXAM WRITING
- You will complete the PRINCE2 Foundation Certification Exam on Day 3, featuring 75 multiple-answer questions confirming your knowledge of the PRINCE2 Methodology. A passing grade is required to receive Foundation Certification and move to the Practitioners Certificate on Day 4 and 5.
- In the event that you do not pass, you may write the exam again immediately at no cost. Subsequent sittings will incur a fee of $250.
- Photographic identification will be required to write the exam.

FACULTY
Mike Longman
- A PRINCE2 Practitioner and Accredited Trainer since 1999, Mike
regularly delivers PRINCE2 Practitioner public training courses as well as
client-site courses and has developed PRINCE2 training course materials.
- Mike has 32 years experience in Local Government and Housing Associations, 18 years of which were in senior management posts. He has been responsible for managing large numbers of staff, training, motivation, budgets, project management, total quality systems and estate management for social housing.
- He has undertaken many presentations at conferences, seminars, and
board meetings and lectures to student groups.
- He has worked as a housing consultant writing policy, procedure and staff instruction documents in a standard format for Local Authorities and Housing Associations and producing project documentation for a further education college.
- A PRINCE2 Accredited trainer and Microsoft Certified Trainer, Victor is highly experienced in the delivery of PRINCE2 courses and workshops as well as APM-BOK based courses to both the public and private sectors.
- He is a seasoned and highly competent Project Management and Information Technology consultant with over 14 years experience
in project management, mainly in the delivery of business and IT solutions and
services, as well as consultancy and training.
Victor possesses excellent customer-facing
and negotiation skills and is experienced in the delivery of a broad range of
certification-based training solutions, as well as generic courses in project
management, networking and other IT technologies.
- Victor holds a Masters Degree in Information Systems Engineering from the UKs South Bank University and is a Full Member of the Association for Project Management. He is an MSP Advanced Programme Manager and an Associate Member of the Institute of IT Training.
Alvin Gardiner, MBA
- Alvin is an international project and program manager with over 30 years experience managing private and public sector projects. He is a PRINCE2 Approved Trainer, PRINCE2 Accredited Consultant and a Registered Practitioner in the MSP Program Management methodology. Alvin has 8 years full-time experience in the implementation of PRINCE2 and was the winner of the UK wide PRINCE2 Prize in 2002 for the most innovative implementation of PRINCE2.
- Alvin is a dynamic presenter and is published in a number of Project Management Journals. He is a member of the Association for Project Management (MAPM), a member of the Institute of Management Consultants (MIMC) and a Certified Management Consultant (CMC).
- Alvin
delivers Project Management training in the UK,
North America, Europe and Africa. His
diverse experience includes setting up Project Offices and responsibility
for resource management, budgeting, managing program / project
interdependencies, and resolving resource issues. He is also experienced
in the areas of business change and analysis, contract and supplier
management and knowledge management.
Julie Grabb, PMP
- Julie is an experienced Project Management trainer & coach with over 20 years of progressive business experience within both the public and private sectors. Julie brings a proven success record in project delivery as well as training. Julie has been able to creatively use both project management and business tools to deliver projects that meet their defined business objectives. Bringing this experience into the classroom enriches the learning experience for all participants.
- A veteran of over 350 in class course deliveries, her participative management style provides effective leadership and fosters dedicated and competent project teams. Her enthusiasm and energy are infectious. Julies strengths include facilitation, presentation and training, as well as excellent written and oral communication. She is the author of The Project Managers Question Kit and has made presentations at PMI® chapters around the Globe. Julie has been on the faculty of the Masters Certificate in Project Management Program delivering such topics as Project Cost Management, Project Risk Management and Project Quality management at Universities across North America since 2003.
- Julie has a Bachelor of Mathematics degree from the University of Waterloo, has obtained a CGA professional designation and is a Certified Training Director through Langevin Learning Services. She is a member of the Project Management Institute and is a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP). In March 2009, Julie became the first Canadian authorized trainer for Prince2.
