The CTLT presents the next Roundtable Discussion:
Topic: The Flipped Classroom Facilitator: Dr. Louis Svenningsen, CTLT

Time: 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm
Location: Faculty Club Board Room - Wesley Hall
The Flipped Classroom combines learning in an online environment with learning in a classroom environment. For example; short video lectures might be posted in a course web site for students to be introduced to specific content, then, in the classroom, the instructor will work with students to gain greater understanding of the instructor presented content by working on examples or participating in discussions .
This roundtable discussion will look at ways instructors on campus have already been using the Flipped Classroom Model and to discuss how to put new ideas into practice.

Modular courses and MOOCS are two ideas and processes that are gaining increased attention in the design of post-secondary courses and curriculum. This roundtable discussion will look at what Modules and MOCCS are, how they are currently affecting courses and curriculum, and the ways these could influence and possibly radically change post-secondary education.
