Course Delivery
CTLT offers technologies that can enhance traditional face to face teaching and provide alternate (online) course delivery methods.LMS - Learning Management System
An LMS is a flexible web based tool for teaching and learning and can be used as an adjunct to a face to face course or to deliver a course completely online.
The CTLT currently runs two learning management systems on Campus:
- WebCT - commercial product, now owned by Blackboard
- Learn - based on the Sakai framework, an open source product. The University of Winnipeg is a Sakai Foundation Partner.

LMS Online
The CTLT administers and delivers online courses via the LMS Online program, either through WebCT or Learn.

Web Based TV
The CTLT administers and delivers courses online through VOD - video on demand. Course videos are available to watch and/or download off the internet.

Port-a-VOD / Port-a-POD
The CTLT has portable recording equipment available for faculty use in developing podcasts or videocasts for teaching and learning.

The CTLT has a licence for Elluminate, a synchronous online environment for teaching and conferencing.
