Course Delivery

CTLT offers technologies that can enhance traditional face to face teaching and provide alternate (online) course delivery methods.

LMS - Learning Management System

An LMS is a flexible web based tool for teaching and learning and can be used as an adjunct to a face to face course or to deliver a course completely online. 

The CTLT currently runs the following learning management system on Campus:
  • nexus  -  the University's branded Learning Environment product by Desire2Learn

LMS Online

The CTLT administers and delivers online courses via the LMS Online program using nexus.

Web Based TV

The CTLT administers and delivers courses online through VOD - video on demand. Course videos are available to watch and/or download off the internet.

Port-a-VOD / Port-a-POD

The CTLT has portable recording equipment available for faculty use in developing podcasts or videocasts for teaching and learning.

The CTLT has a licence for Elluminate, a synchronous online environment for teaching and conferencing.
