Dr. Evelyn Peters is receiving a Tier I award, which is over a seven-year term
at $200,000 / year. She joined the Department of Geography at UWinnipeg
in September 2010, coming from the Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of
Public Policy at the University of Saskatchewan, where she was a Tier
II Canada Research Chair. Dr. Peters will be working closely with the
Institute of Urban Studies. She will be opening the new Centre for
Inner-City Research, Community Learning and Engagement (CIRCLE) that
will be housed on the third floor of the brand new Science Complex,
which is scheduled to open in 2011.
