Counselling Services

QuadPersonal counselling is available to any student currently registered at The University of Winnipeg in an undergraduate or graduate program; The Collegiate; the English Language Program (ELP); or in Professional, Applied and Continuing Education (PACE).

Counselling at The University of Winnipeg is a collaborative, conversational process in which students can address any concern, difficulty, or dilemma affecting their university experience. Topics might include: relationships, homesickness, procrastination, work-life balance, grief, addiction, abuse, anxiety, disordered eating, sexual orientation, suicide, among other issues.

Personal counselling makes a practical difference. ‘Stuck’ situations become workable, new possibilities for action emerge, and hope returns, enabling students to thrive throughout their student years.

Counselling Services are free, confidential, and by appointment.  Please call us at 204.786.9231.

As required, counsellors facilitate referrals to appropriate social and medical services on campus and throughout the larger community.

Truth is not born nor is it to be found inside the head of an individual person, it is born between people collectively searching for truth in the process of their dialogic interaction. Mikhail Bakhtin
