Honouring Our Award Recipients
Autumn Convocation 2006
Graduation is a time for celebrating outstanding achievements. On Sunday, October 15, 2006, The University of Winnipeg welcomed family, friends, and the public at its eighty-second convocation.
Chancellor H. Sanford Riley, President & Vice-Chancellor Lloyd Axworthy, the University Board of Regents and Senate, and the Alumni Association extended congratulations to the graduates as they joined the more than 30,000 University of Winnipeg alumni around the world.
At Autumn Convocation, honorary degrees were conferred upon Sister Lesley Sacouman and Nancy F. Olivieri. Dwight Vincent received the Clarence Atchison Award for Excellence in Community Service. Rayleen De Luca (Class of 1979) became the newest recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award.
