Dr. Mark Meuwese

Mark Meuwese is assistant professor of the history department at the University of Winnipeg since July 2004. His research and teaching interests are indigenous peoples and European colonizers in the early modern world, especially the Americas, during the period 1450-1800. He has published several essays on Dutch encounters with indigenous peoples in the Americas during the seventeenth century.
