Grade 9 and Grade 10 Interviews

Due to the limited enrolment at these levels, all applicants are asked to take part in an interview with a Collegiate Dean. Once the application and application fee are received, students will be contacted by telephone in order to arrange for an interview. Other than this additional requirement, the steps outlined below should be followed. Students are encouraged to apply as early as possible. While applicants may meet admissions requirements, we are not able to guarantee a place in the program. Specific questions regarding these programs may be directed to the Dean or Associate Dean of the Collegiate at 204.786.9221.

Fall/Winter Application Process:

  1. Complete a Fall/Winter application form.
  2. Pay non-refundable application fee by cash, cheque, money order (payable to "The University of Winnipeg"), Interac, Visa, or Mastercard. (This fee is waived for students who paid the application fee in a previous year and for Visiting Status Students.)
  3. Submit an official transcript (not a photocopy) of all Grades 9 - 12 credits obtained. Include an interim report if you are currently in school.
  4. Applicants for Mature Status must also provide official proof of date of birth.
  5. Applicants for Accelerated Status must also complete an accelerated status University of Winnipeg application for admission. These forms are available in the Collegiate Office only.
  6. Applicants for Visiting Status who are enrolled at another school must ensure that the application is authorized by the home school.
  7. Submit complete application, by mail or in person, to:
    Dean of the Collegiate
    1W02-515 Portage Avenue
    Winnipeg, Manitoba
    R3B 2E9
  8. Students who are accepted will receive an official letter of acceptance which will indicate when they will be expected to attend an in-person registration session. New students can make appointments to register before they receive final marks provided that they make sure to bring final marks to their registration appointment. Registration involves finalizing their timetable and paying a deposit of $720.00 CDN. ( Please note, students must pay a deposit in order to take advantage of this early registration time). Please remember the registration meeting will be postponed if final marks are not provided before or at the meeting. Transcripts must be provided.

Applicants for concurrent status do not complete a Collegiate application form, but apply directly to the University of Winnipeg. Once the application form has been received by the University Admissions Office the student will be contacted by the Collegiate regarding the registration/advising process.

Spring/Summer Application Process

The process for registering for Spring/Summer session courses is identical to the Fall/Winter application process except for tuition payment. Please include full tuition fee payment with your application.

Application Deadlines

Applications for all sessions are accepted on a first come, first served basis up to the start of classes. Enrolment is limited and applicants are strongly encouraged to apply early to ensure course selection. The Collegiate reserves the right to cancel any course for which there is insufficient enrolment, or to turn down an application for any course which is filled to capacity.
