Diane Poulin - Biography

Diane Poulin was born and raised in Montreal and graduated from Concordia University with a BA in Communication Studies. She moved to Winnipeg in her twenties and considers herself passionately prairie. Diane's main occupation is journalism, and she spent ten years as a reporter, producer and director with CBC Radio in Winnipeg. She left to work for Winnipeg Mayor Glen Murray as political communicator managing the media, a position she held for four years and two successful mayoral election campaigns. She taught Media Relations for several terms at The University of Winnipeg - Public Relations program and recently obtained a Management Diploma from UWinnipeg's Division of Continuing Education.

Diane also harbours a love for creative writing and is the author of a novel, No Safe House (Signature Editions). Her poetry has been published in CV2 and Our Times magazine.
