Important Dates and Deadlines Fall/Winter 2011-2012
January 4 - Tuition fee payment deadline (Winter term).
January 30 - Fall/Winter 2011-12 General Bursary application deadline.
February 4 - Tuition fee payment deadline for Manitoba Student Aid Program (MSAP) recipients who applied to MSAP before Dec 16, 2011.
February 20 - Final date for application to the Manitoba Student Aid Program and submission of all documentation for students registered in the full Fall/Winter academic year or only the 2012 Winter Term.
End of February - Approximate time students who applied for the General Bursary will be notified of the results through an email to their WebAdvisor account.
March 6 - Awards Night of Excellence for all Fall/Winter 2011-12 scholarship recipients. Recipients will receive an invitation in the mail.
April 2 - Fall/Winter 2012-13 Entrance Scholarship Application deadline.
Important Dates and Deadlines Spring 2012
Late March - Approximate time by which students can apply for Manitoba Student Aid for the Spring/Summer Session. Official date will be posted once confirmed. For out of province students, please refer to your Provincial government student aid branch for application information.
May 1 - Spring/Summer session begins. Also the Spring Term Tuition Fee Payment deadline.
NOTE: All government student aid recipients relying on their government funding to pay their tuition fees should read the Tuition Fee Deferral section of our Government Student Aid Information webpage.
May 31 - Spring Term General Bursary application deadline.
May 31 - The Canadian Friends of the Hebrew University Scholarships application deadline.
June 6 - Reception for Spring Convocation award recipients.
June 7 & 8 - Spring Convocation.
June 21 - Final date to apply for Manitoba Student Aid for the Spring/Summer session.
Important Dates and Deadlines Fall/Winter 2012-2013
June 1 - Manitoba Student Aid Program (MSAP) applications are available on-line for all forms of government student aid (e.g. Canada Student Grants, Canada Student Loan, Manitoba Student Loan, Rural/Northern Bursary). For out of province students, please refer to your Provincial government student aid branch for application information.
July 25 - Final date to file paper MSAP applications to avoid late payment fees in September.
August 15 - Final date to file on-line MSAP applications to avoid late payment fees in September.
July 1 - Approximate date by which award applications for the 2012-13 academic year will be available online.
August 22 - Date when the Awards & Financial Aid Office will begin authorizing Fall/Winter Student Aid documents for students from provinces other than Manitoba
August 22 - Date when the Awards & Financial Aid Office will begin signing Confirmation of Enrolment Forms (Schedule 2s) for previous government student loan recipients who are registered as full-time students but will not be receiving government Student Aid in 2012-13.
August 27 - Fall/Winter 2012-13 Opportunity Fund Bursary Application deadline. These bursaries are for students of all year levels who are Aboriginal, First Generation, minority status or new immigrants/refugees.
September 5 - Fall & Fall/Winter session courses begin. Also the tuition fee payment deadline for Fall and Fall/Winter courses.
September 15 - In-Course Fall/Winter 2012-13 Bursary and Award Application deadline. These awards are for Second, Third and Fourth year students who have high financial need.
October 1 - In-Course Fall/Winter 2012-13 International Bursary Application deadline. These bursaries are for international students who demonstrate financial need.
October 5 - Tuition fee payment deadline for MSAP students who applied to MSAP before August 15, 2012.
October 15 - In-Course Fall/Winter 2012-13 Scholarship and Award Application deadline. These awards are for Second, Third and Fourth year students that have high academic standing.
October 21 - Fall Convocation.
October 31 - Final date for application to the Manitoba Student Aid Program and submission of all documentation for students registered only in the 2012 Fall Term.
December 2 - Date by which students applying for Government Student Aid for the Winter Term only should apply to avoid late fees.
December 20 - Last day the University is open before the holiday break.
January 3 - University re-opens. Date when the Awards & Financial Aid Office will begin authorizing Winter Term Student Aid documents for students from provinces other than Manitoba.
