Job Opportunities
ON-campus jobs
As soon as you arrive in Canada, you are permitted to work on the campus where you are studying.
Some jobs with University departments - such as event assistants, computerized notetakers, mentors, student ambassadors - are posted on the Human Resources section of our website.
Students can also find work on campus at Student Association-run services, such as Petrified Sole Used Bookstore, Info Booth, The Uniter newspaper, or Soma Café. See these websites:
The Uwsa
Uniter
All students must be enrolled full-time (at least 9 credits per term) and maintain a satisfactory academic performance to work on campus.
OFF-campus jobs
After you have completed at least six months of full-time study here (taking at least 9 credits per term and maintaining satisfactory academic performance), you may be eligible to apply for an Off-Campus Work Permit.
Your first step is to make an appointment with Lee Hong to review your eligibility. Please bring your original Study Permit to your meeting with Lee.
