Clearing Immigration
International students must report to Canadian Immigration at the port of entry upon arrival to Canada. If your destination is Winnipeg but you first arrive in Vancouver, your port of entry is Vancouver International Airport.
What to Expect
Report to Canada Immigration prior to picking up your luggage. An airport official may tell you to collect your luggage first, then report back to the Immigration booth.
Present your documents for inspection.
Board your connecting flight or leave the airport only after your Study Permit has been stamped, signed and dated by an Immigration Officer.
Required Documents for Students Already in Canada
If you have a valid Study Permit, you will need no further documents. Check the expiry date of your current document.
