Joint Aboriginal Language Teacher Education

The Aboriginal Language Specialist diploma is designed to train students in Aboriginal language instruction, Aboriginal language planning, and interpreting and translation. Students fluent in an Aboriginal language train in language instruction, interpreting and translation, and non-fluent students train in Aboriginal language planning. Students completing the joint program will receive the Aboriginal Language Specialist Diploma from RRC and the Bachelor of Education and either a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science from the U of W. An After-Degree option is available for students with a first degree.

Joint Business Teacher Education

The Business/Technology Teacher Education program is intended to develop teaching and technical skills related to business practices including management, accounting, marketing, and secretarial skills. Students also complete an additional teaching subject through the University. Graduates receive an integrated Bachelor of Business and Administration/Bachelor of Education degree. An After-Degree option is also available for students with significant Business education in a first degree.

Joint Developmental Studies

This is a collaborative professional program designed for those who wish to pursue the area of early childhood development, and who seek classification as an Early Childhood Educator III under the regulations of Manitoba Family Services and Housing. Students will receive the RRC Early Childhood Education diploma and the U of W Bachelor of Arts in Developmental Studies, majoring in Child Development and Child Care, Stream C.

Joint Industrial Arts/Technology Teacher Education

The RRC Industrial Arts/Technology Teacher Education Program is designed to develop teaching and technical skills for teaching the industrial arts and technology education program in the public school system. Emphasis is directed at developing the knowledge and skills in manufacturing, power and energy, graphic communications, and construction. Graduates will receive Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education degrees from the University, as well as a diploma in Industrial Arts Teacher Education from the College. An After-Degree option is also available.

Joint Vocational Teacher Education

The RRC Technical Vocational Teacher Education Program is designed to provide studies in teaching methodology, course development and facility design for individuals with Journeyperson’s Certificates (or equivalent) in designated trades, leading to Vocational Industrial Teacher certification by Manitoba Education, Training and Youth. Graduates of the College program may receive up to 90 credit hours toward the 150 credit hours Integrated Bachelor of Education Degree requirements.
