UNIVERSITY OF WINNIPEG ANNOUNCES ACADEMIC ALL-CANADIANS
WINNIPEG, JUNE 5, 2006 -The University of Winnipeg is pleased to announce their Academic All-Canadians for the 2005-2006 academic year. In total there were 29 athletes who gained recognition. In order to gain this status a student must have a GPA of 3.0 (80%) or better. The university is extremely proud of the fact that 55% (29-of-53) of their athletes earned Academic All-Canadian status, which is a 10% increase from last year. Of the 29 athletes that gained All-Canadian status, seven had a GPA of 4.0 (90%) or better. The 2005-2006 Academic All-Canadians are as follows:
