Biography:

Lawrence Elliott is the Associate Department Head and Director of the Community Medicine Residency Program in the Department of Community Health Sciences.

Dr. Elliott completed his medical degree (1985), Fellowship in Community Medicine (1995), and Master’s of Science (1996) at the University of Manitoba. He then completed a postgraduate fellowship in Field Epidemiology with the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (1995 – 1997), and has been a full-time faculty member since 2000. Dr. Elliott is curriculum co-coordinator for the CIHR Training Program in Infectious Disease Research.

Dr. Elliott’s research interests are in the epidemiology of infectious diseases and multiple sclerosis.
