What: Film screening of “Mères Courages” Mothers Courage, Thriving Survivors a powerful NFB documentary on how Rwanda women are surviving the violence they experienced during the genocide. The screening will be followed by a panel of local experts discussing violence against women during times of conflict.
When: Tuesday February 20, 2007.
Time: 7:00pm – 9:30pm

Who: The event is open to the public and free of charge.
The event is organized by the UN Platform for Action Committee Manitoba (UNPAC) and sponsored by Amnesty International Group 19, CKUW’s Say it Sista!, the University of Winnipeg Student’s Association (UWSA) and the Global College.
