The University of Winnipeg Foundation
By partnering with financial specialists and other allied professionals, a University of Winnipeg Foundation Planned Giving Officer can assist donors in making the most effective use of their charitable giving potential. Most (but not all) planned gifts are deferred gifts, such as bequests, life insurance policies, charitable remainder trusts, gifts of residual interest, etc.
Planned gifts may also include outright gifts, including major gifts for current needs, and take the form of securities and other gifts which may be structured and timed to limit tax on the capital gain.
Bequests of any size can be directed to a particular faculty, department or program, used to establish a scholarship or bursary or directed to an area of greatest need, such as Entrance Scholarships or the UWinnipeg Collegiate.

The Legacy Circle
With lasting generosity, members of The Legacy Circle are playing an essential role in securing the future of The University of Winnipeg and investing in future generations of students through their participation in leaving a legacy gift to The University of Winnipeg Foundation.
The Legacy Circle affords an opportunity to extend warm appreciation to individuals who notify us of their thoughtful gift intentions.
