Over the years, wear and tear to the bleachers in the Dr. David F. Anderson Gymnasium at the Duckworth Centre has caused health and safety concerns and many of the seats have become broken or damaged. Thanks to a generous gift from the Anderson family we’ve been able to start replacing our old bleacher seats, and install brand new ones. There are 1744 seats in total! In fact, thanks to the Anderson gift, we are half way there, having already installed 872 seats on one side of the gym. In order to help pay for the other side, we’ve launched the Wesmen Bleacher Seat Sale.

The cost to purchase a seat is $500 and can be paid over a period of 5 years (that's only $100 a year or $4 per pay for faculty and staff!). Each seat will feature a permanent donor plaque. You can engrave your name or the name of a friend or loved one whom you would like to honour or memorialize. Plaques can also be a memorable way to recognize a group, class, or commemorate a special achievement or significant event.
