Research Centre on Co-operative Enterprises
The Research Centre on Co-operative Enterprises was launched in 2021 to support scholarly work and applied research relevant to the co-op sector locally, nationally and internationally. It also looks to encourage research into other “purpose-driven” enterprises— from not-for-profits to B Corps—and to foster overall engagement in social innovation.
Our goal is to facilitate research and collaboration between academics and industry to help understand how we can solve social issues with integrative solutions that incorporate different models such as co-operative enterprises. There is a need for research to address the current and anticipated changes to the Canadian workforce that revolve around the desire for value driven work and to address the large and complex social issues we are facing as a society. We invite interested students, researchers and community organizations to become involved.
