Richard Graydon

BPEd, BEd, BA

A graduate of The University of Winnipeg, Richard Graydon, has dedicated his life to education and sound administrative practice. He spent many years as a principal in Winnipeg schools, and then brought his extensive administrative skills to serve UWinnipeg and the Board of Regents.

He assumed the role of Chair of the Board during a period of transition for the University from 2001 to 2003, providing stable leadership and a consultative style. His work helped lay the groundwork for improved financial health and strategic planning processes. Graydon also oversaw the establishment, in April 2003, of The University of Winnipeg Foundation, which is dedicated to raising private funds and providing donor stewardship to support the mission of the University and its Collegiate.

In 2009, Graydon became a recipient of a Fellowship in The University of Winnipeg.
